Fun at the Winter Garden

The Winter Gardens will swing in the afternoon to the sound of the R.A. Lister Military Band when they will knock out their audience with their lively programme of music, including many of our great favorites such as 'A Selection from AIDA' by the Legendary 'Verdi', and that stunning Piccolo solo, ' The Lark's Festival',

The Climax of the Show will be a 'Grand Patriotic Fantasia', introducing famous songs and airs of the following countries: AUSTRALIA, BURMA, SCOTLAND, FIJI ISLANDS, NEW ZEALAND, INDIA, WALES, JAMAICA, CANADA, IRELAND, HONG KONG, and ENGLAND. The afternoon concert will end with 'The Hornpipe' followed by those two favorite blockbusters 'Land of Hope and Glory' and Rule Britannia'.

Be there or be square!

The Winter Gardens' concert is on from

 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and admission is

absolutely Free!

Letter to the editor

Sir,

What on earth do these Councillors think they are doing wasting all this money on free shows for the peasants. Surely this money could be better spent on filling in the pot-holes in the road and keeping my taxes down.

Whatever will they think of next, Free transport in the Town Centre I shouldn't wonder! Let them walk! That's what I say!
